On Yom Yaatzmaut, 44 years ago, TRUMPELDOR CAFE opened its doors for the first time. Back then the calling card of this this modest family-run corner cafe was their delicious bourekas. On Yom Haatzmaut 2014 the daughter of the original owners reopened Trumpeldor Cafe. The cafe is in its original location, but now it is much more central. Over the years downtown Jerusalem has expanded, bringing the corner of Bezalel and Trumpeldor St, a lot closer to the downtown area. The location is still on the periphery but a lot closer to the action.
The newly revived Trumpledor Cafe is the place to enjoy breakfast, a salad and a sandwich, or just a nice drink, close to downtown Jerusalem but not quite there.
